Roman Iliev, Partner RedStone Capital

Roman Iliev is a Russian entrepreneur and philanthropist. He builds and develops businesses with high potential growth rates in commercial real estate and in the tech sector. He is also passionately committed to his work in the charity sphere and supports a number of NGOs and social organisations.

Mr Iliev is one of the founding investors and Chairman of the Board of Directors of RedStone Capital, a venture investment company with a fast-growing portfolio of successful companies in sectors ranging from real estate and e-commerce to fintech. Roman is actively involved in the development of Redstone Capital’s portfolio companies, in particular by leveraging his extensive business network to help companies build successful partnerships.

In 2017, Mr Iliev became the Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Healthy Children-Healthy Planet Foundation. Established in 1998, the organisation is dedicated both to safeguarding children’s physical health, and promoting and fostering their personal development and psychological well-being.  As part of their work, the foundation advocates environmental conservation, to cultivate a world in which future generations are able to thrive.

An amateur sportsman himself, Mr Iliev has served as the Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Committee for the National and Non-Olympic Sports of Russia since 2016. In particular, he supports the development of of air racing as part of overall aerobatics sporting discipline in the Russian Federation.

Roman graduated from MGIMO with a degree in International Relations in 2005.

Campbell Bethwaite, Managing Partner, RedStone Capital

Campbell Bethwaite founded Finteca, a venture capital firm focused on Russian fintech and e-commerce services, in 2014. Within three years, Finteca had developed a portfolio of more than 20 companies employing over 600 people, and was rebranded RedStone Capital.

The core RedStone team is composed of young, ambitious professionals with backgrounds in private equity, e-commerce, and investment consulting, and experience working for investment funds and large corporations. The firm’s management team also includes IT, legal, tax, human resources and marketing experts.

Mr. Bethwaite has been living in Russia since 2006. His extensive expertise in M&A and private equity, as well as his impressive entrepreneurial background in Australia, the U.S., Nigeria, and Russia, has contributed to his appointment to the Boards of Directors of several companies.

Mr. Bethwaite holds an MBA from The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
